The girls started Vacation Bible School today. Then we went to the pool to swim and soak up some sun. This is my sun burnt leg. Can you see where I put sun screen and where I didn't?
Then we came home and started the High School Musical Marathon.
Well the girls started the High School Musical Marathon, I started painting my kitchen cabinets. This is what they look like now.
And this is a sneak peek of what they will look like when I am done.
And this last picture is for Nate, Bryce and McKay. We love you and miss you! Have fun with Grandma and Grandpa.
My face is pretty sun burnt too and I did use sun screen on it. I guess I got a little caught up in the whole soaking up the sun idea, but it was like the first nice sunny day we've had all summer so I just couldn't help myself.

I did this to my kitchen 2 years ago and I LOVE it! A little black enamel makes all the difference! Did you strip or sad the original stain off first? So much work!

I am doing a light sanding then using a paint/primer mix. When I'm done I'll seal it. I started yesterday afternoon at about 4:00 and took lots of HSM breaks and I still almost finished the island. Tonight I will have Sam's help so I hope it won't be too overwhelming.
The cabinets look great. It's totally going to change the way your kitchen looks. Love it.
Those cabinets look sweeeeet!! Can't wait to see them when they're finished!! And good for you for soaking up some rays! Man, it's about time they showed up here in Colorado!!
