Cruise

Here are just a few of our cruise pictures I may or may not get around to posting the rest. Some of them are on a disposable underwater camera so I hop to get around to printing them and scanning them soon, but this is a start. I don't think I can adequately describe the week we had. It was so nice to be with my husband away from all of the stresses of real life. We had an amazing time together. We slept in almost everyday and napped almost every day and went to bed early almost every day. It was sooo relaxing. In the few hours we had in between sleep we did lots of fun stuff. On the boat we went to the Ice show twice, it was really good. We also went to most of the shows at night. They had a couple of really funny comedians. We ate far to much at every meal, but I tried to balance it out by running. I did thirteen miles which I was pretty proud of. I also got the most amazing hot rock massage. We tried the in line skating on the boat, not our favorite and we played mini golf and basket ball. There was a rock climbing wall that I really wanted to do but I never got around to it. Oh well, maybe next time.
On shore- In Cozumel we went snorkeling which was awesome. Sam has never done it before and he was surprised by how much he loved it. The water is so clear and beautiful. We saw a sea horse, two sting rays, a lion fish, some barracudas, a Moira eel, and lots and lots of fish. I have a problem with motion sickness so I'm always worried when I go out on a small boat. I was fine the whole boat ride to the reef where we snorkeled but about 30 minutes after getting in the water a wave of sickness hit me like a ton of bricks. Soon after that we got back into the boat to go to another spot. Being in the boat didn't make me feel worse but I for sure wasn't feeling any better. We stopped and got back in the water and with in 5 minutes I lost it, and by it I mean my breakfast. Sorry for the visual, but as horrible as it was at the time later we thought it was hilarious so I want to remember it. While I was umm, you know puking, I looked down in the water and there at that very moment was a group of scuba divers passing under us. Good times. After that I felt much better and was able to enjoy the rest of the snorkeling trip.
This is getting long so I'm going to write about Jamaica another day. The beach pics below are mostly in Grand Cayman where we just hung out on the beach all day. I want to point out that the back ground of this collage is actually a picture I took of the water and it is really that blue. Soooo beautiful.

School Stuff

What a busy week last week was! Packed clear full of good stuff... like this... every year in 5th grade the kids study the Revolutionary War then put on skits for their parents and other students. This year Bryce got to play a rebel and a red coat. Very exciting stuff. He really is a good actor and so dang cute! Then on Tuesday night we had the privilege of attending the 1st grade music program. I love 1st graders! Soo fun. There program was all about taking care of the earth. That morning Gracie didn't want her hair curled because the curling iron uses electricity and she insisted that they walk to school. She cracks me up. Here She is posing with her friends before the show then singing her little heart out and playing the triangle!

Happy Easter

Today was a good day. We woke up and the kinds hunted for eggs and treats, then had chocolate and cotton candy for breakfast before throwing on their church clothes and rushing out the door for 8:30 church. But before we left the house there was one more surprise...... Oliver!!!! Our new green parakeet. Let me tell ya, he is a huge hit. I went to the pet store last night to get him, hoping that the kids would be in bed before I got home so we could surprise them with him in the morning. They were in bed, but it turns out that I was too excited to wait. I went and woke Nate and Bryce up for a sneak preview. The looks on their faces was priceless. I think Sam got a video. Any way Ollie is a very sweet bird and we can't wait to teach him to talk and do tricks.

After Church we went to Sam's brothers house for Easter dinner with his family. It was a nice. Sam has a great family and the kids always have so much fun with their cousins. All together there are 20 grand kids so it gets a little wild but always fun.

car-versations #5

McKay- (in the car singing) "I got the whole wide woowd in mine hands" (also known as He's got the whole world in His hands)

Me- Where did you learn that song?

McKay- We are singing it at school for our program.

Me- Are you going to sing in your school program this time.

McKay- No, I don't want to.

Me- I'll take a cute video of you to show grandma and grandpa, they would love it!

McKay- ummm, no.

Me- I'll give you $10 to take to the store and buy anything you want.

McKay- ummm, no, but I still want $10.

Me- Sorry you only get it if you sing in your program.

McKay- I'm not going to sing in my program, but can I have $10 if I sing this song at home? (then he starts singing) "baby, baby, baby, ohhh. it's like baby, baby, baby, ohhhh."
