Do you know what's making me happy right at this very moment? Dove Milk Chocolate & Strawberry Creme Swirl and Dove Dark Chocolate & Cherry Swirl. I'm alternating between the two the former being my favorite but the later being a close second. And inside each wrapper a little nugget of wisdom, like "Celebrate family and friends" and "The best things in life are chocolate". The lovely Patti Barren taught Relief Society last week and brought these chocolates as a treat, I think the Strawberry kind, which was kind of perfect since church is right in the middle of lunch time and I was kind of starving, and well, I've been craving more of them ever since. (How's that for a run-on sentence?) I was just telling a friend not too long ago that I'm not a fan of fruity chocolate. I prefer crunchy chocolate, you know like with nuts in it, but these little beauties have made a liar out of me.

Gracie was in a 4 way tie for most rebounds in her basketball game on Saturday so last night at practice she and the other 3 girls had a shoot off for the top re bounder prize. It came down to Gracie and one other girl. They both shot. Their balls hit each other in the air. The other girls ball came down right in front of her. Gracie's ball ricocheted across the court. By the time Gracie got her ball the other girl had already made a basket and it was all over. After practice the conversation went like this.
me- You almost had it Gracie. You got jipped.
Gracie- Yea, when stuff like that would happen last year my coach would say 'a robber took it from me'.
me- What? oh you mean 'you were robbed'
Gracie- ummm, ya something like that.

i'll do it tomorrow
Way back in 2010 my Mother-in-law gave her daughters and daughters-in-law all 5 hours of cleaning service for Christmas. Awesome, right? I called the lady who would be doing the cleaning some time in December or maybe it was January of 2011, and I set up the appointment, but then something came up, a funeral I believe, and she had to cancel. Then I forgot about it and never rescheduled until last month. I called her and set up an appointment for today. The funny thing about getting your house cleaned is the amount of time you have to spend cleaning it so that someone else can come and clean it. We have clearly not gotten back into the swing of things since Christmas break and my house has suffered dearly for it. My beautiful new bedroom that was recently painted and rearranged and perfectly organized was looking like my closet threw up on it. I have piles of folded laundry to put away, piles of clean laundry to fold and piles of dirt laundry to clean and don't even get me started on the kitchen or the kid's bedrooms. Oy. I've been chipping away at my to do list for the last couple of days but still had a solid 2 hours of work to do this morning before the cleaning lady got here. I worked for about an hour and was making great progress but I hadn't looked downstairs yet. It was worse than I thought. But then the phone rang and it was the cleaning lady calling to tell me that see would be a little late because of all of the snow and the roads being slick. I, being the super thoughtful person that I am, suggested that we just reschedule so that she doesn't have to drive on bad roads. She was grateful and I have never been so happy to not have someone coming to clean my house. I sat on the couch and called it a day.
