Movie Night

Red Robbin... Yummm
Sitting in line at the theater, playing games.
Last night, Mid-night showing of Eclipse, was so fun. We started out at Red Robbin around 7:00. I was trying to be so good on my diet and ordered the Asian Chicken Salad, but it just didn't do it for me so I finished off Heather's burger and fries, yummm.
Then we headed of to the theater around 8:30ish. We were about 20th in line. We settled in for 3 hours of playing games and chatting on the floor.
Then for the main event. The movie was really good. Defiantly the best of the three.
I got home just after 3:00 am. Went right to sleep and slept til 1:00 this afternoon. It felt great.
Oh yea... At some point during the night a couple of friend, armed with the code to my car, snuck out to the parking lot and booby trapped my car. All of the seats pushed forward, seat belts locked, mirrors adjusted, visors flipped, blinkers on, E-break on.
Aren't my friends funny. Ha. Ha. Ha.
actually driving at night stresses me out.
driving with a car full of people stresses me out.
and this really, really stressed me out.
I use a few, as Shay put it, "not my Sunday words" .
Oh well.
Over all it was a super fun night and I can't wait to do it all again.
Next time I'm not driving.

Flash back.
Stef: Data where are you going?
Data: I'm setting booty traps.
Stef: You mean booby traps?
Data: THATS WHAT I SAID! BOOBY TRAPS!

9 minutes, 59 seconds!

Up til now I've been doing the "I'm a runner" thing pretty half way.
I didn't finish the 8 week walk/run program and even though I've finished two 5Ks and a 10K, and made my time goal on all of them, I still haven't ran a whole 5K straight.
The most I've ran without a walking break is just over 1 mile,
but I'm still celebrating the small victories.
Like last night I ran a mile in under 10 minutes for the first time ever.
I brought a stop watch,
when I passed the mile mark I hit the stop button
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
I open my eyes and looked.
9 minutes and 59 seconds
Victory!!!
Soooo, I'm recommitting.
My goal for the next 5K is to run the whole thing and
to get the whole family involved.
Abby and Gracie both ran with me this week.
Bryce has been running with me for a while.
So now I just need to work on Sam and Nate.
My next race is the Manassa Pioneer Days 5K
on the 24th of July.
Who else will run it with me?

AFTERWe have already eaten s'mores with marshmallows roasted in our new fire pit, and yesterday I sat in my chair and read a book for about an hour. It was lovely!

I just want...

my new patio
the sun to shine
to not have to turn my heat back on in the middle of June
to go to the pool
to have my basement put together
to get my boys back from Grandma and Grandpa's house
to start running again
to finish my book
Sam to be done with school
a vacation
to have a house keeper
and a chef
Is that really so much to ask for??
Tomorrow I hope to check 6 or 7 of those things of my list!!
Yay for tomorrow!!

catching up again

I hate playing catch up because I never make it as interesting as I would try to if I just posted things as they happened, but alas I have fallen behind and here I am catching up. I have my 3 garden boxes built and 1 1/2 planted plus 5 pots and two other places in the yard planted and growing beautiful little plants. I'm so exited!!! We got a front porch glider and I love it. I spend so much time sitting outside now. Why did we wait so long to get one? And sometime this week I will have the back patio that I have dreamed about for 10 1/2 years. Let's see, what else. We all got summer hair cuts except for Abby and Gracie and that is about all that is new. See, not very interesting. Sorry, but I hope you enjoy the pictures!

and finally

I know I posted a lot of pictures today but I had to include these cus they just make me happy.

just chillin with some tunes.

Bolder Boulder 2010K

30 minutes before the race.

We had so much fun running (jogging/walking) the Bolder Boulder 10 K.
It's the 2nd largest race in the country, with around 60,000 participants.
Their were people racing in
chicken suits,
and gorilla suits,
and wedding dresses,
and tutus,
and super man underoos.
The streets were lined with
bands,
and belly dancers
and cheerleaders,
and those lovely people with hoses and sprinklers to cool off the racers.
It's a very entertaining race.

Today every inch of my body hurts but it was worth it.

I ran with my friend Heather and Bryce ran with her son Anthony.

My official time was
1:29:13.24

Bryce's official time was
1:21:39.01
