cat, hat, bat

McKay has learned the art of rhyming. All kids do it at some point and we moms hold our breath when they start with a word like truck. Yesterday at home he got out three rounds of "itch, mitch, b!$@#" before I could distract him. Then at Wal-Mart we walked up to a toy isle and he saw a truck. I hear him say truck followed by a very loud, very drawn out "fffuuuuuuuuuuuu" which he ended with an even louder "ck" He yelled it twice, just for good measure. I grabbed him and said "I need you to be quite in the store" at which point the man next to us gave me an "I wonder where he learned that" look, and we quickly left that area.

He did not learn it from me!

I like how you handled it. I always over-react and then my kids think it's funny.

some moments you just can't get back! Like the moment before they say things! :) I agree with Alyssa, kudos for handling it well...I just giggled when my kids did those things -- talk about looks from strangers.
