Summer Reading

I have so many thing I want to blog about but I can't find my USB cord to upload the corrisponding pictures. I'm going to have to break down and buy a new one cuz I have pics from my friends wedding on my camera and I know she really wants them. Last week on facebook.
Jenn-
Dear Natalie,
I love you.
Jenn
Translation: It's been almost two months. Where are my freaking wedding pictures!
Really I'm sooo sorry. I'm finding it impossible to accomplish anything important while my kids are out of school. Not that doing things with the kids isn't important, you know what I mean. I spend most of my day entertaining them, pool, park, library, chick-fil-a, etc, or trying to get them to get chores done and get along. Then when I can't take it anymore I hide and I read. I don't remember the last book I read before this summer. It had been months since I had finished one. I had started many. Then we all signed up for the summer reading program at the library. The kids had to read 12 to 18 hours and got a free pass to Elich Gardens. They all completed it and I think we are going tomorrow. One more thing to take pictures of that I can't upload. I had to read 4 books to be entered in a drawing for a $100 gift card. I got a buy one get one free coupon to Chipotle just for signing up. Bonus. So we have been going to the library every Monday for story time and to get new books. Everyone is reading like crazy. Including me.
I'm not a fast reader. It's rare for me to read more that 100 pages in day, and that's only if I love the book and have lots of time.
Any way, the books I have read this summer:
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
It was good if you are into the Twilight series, and it's short.
It takes a Village Idiot
This was a fun read.
The Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
I really like it. Pretty sad, but so good.
These Is My Words
I already post about this one. LOVED IT!
Jane Eyre
I just finished this one. I liked it, but I didn't love it. I finished it Tuesday night then went to the library on Wednesday and checked out the movie. It's the BBC version and is completely true to the book it was 4 or 5 hours long and it was okay. I'm glad I read the book and watched the movie but I don't need to do either ever again.
Next on my list is
Sarah's Quilt
and
The Star Garden
Then I have on hold at the library
The Hunger Games
I'm about 150 on the list for that one
and
The Help
I'm about 350 on the list for that one.
Wuthering Hights
I'm number 9 on the list for it.
I might have to buy them or find someone else to borrow them from. I've heard they are great.
So that was a long and probably very boring post which included no fun pictures.
Sorry.
Maybe today I will make it to the store to buy a new USB cord.

good for you for reading so much. I haven't been reading as much as I usually do when the kiddos are in school...I'm attacking Little Dorrit by Charles Dickens right now...I am a fast reader but I'm thinking this one might take me some time...tiny tiny print and around 900 pages...what have I gotten myslef into.
