That's what the lady at the pool last summer called it, and she is so right. As far a great Literature goes Twilight is pretty
juvenile. That's not an insult considering who the target audience is. And no matter how old you are, its good be a little
juvenile at heart. Which is why women of all ages (and any men who give it a chance), are in love with Twilight. "In love" is too mild a term for some of us. Dare I say, "obsessed" or perhaps even "addicted". At first I was a tad
embarrassed about my addiction, but I've decided to come clean and embrace it. I have read the first 3 books twice. I was present at the mid-night release of "Breaking Dawn". We even wore shirts and hats proclaiming our team of choice. I even experience a minor case of
PTD, Post Twilight Depression, when I was done with book 4. I've been watching
trailers for the movie over and over on line for the past... I don't know how many months, And finally I went to the mid-night premiere of the movie. We got there 2 hrs. early to insure
optimum viewing. I went to see it again last night with Sam, and I can't wait to go see it again tonight with my mom, and anyone else who wants to come. Karen?... Andrea?... Anyone?
It's only been the past couple of years that I have
discovered the joys of reading just for fun and I'm so glad I did. Being able to escape into a book every once and awhile has saved my sanity on on more than one
occasion. I can't get enough of books like "Harry Potter" and now "Twilight", but I also have read some more grown-up books that I love too. Most recently, "The Kite Runner". It was
fabulous, in a heart breaking, reminding me what a charmed life I have, sort of way. After re-reading this post I feel the need to express the fact that I really do have a life, really.

Kite Runner was good, but don't see the movie. I am appalled that it was given a PG13 rating. The book had enough "happy" at the end to make up for the sadness in most of the story. The movie did not! I thought it was pretty visually disturbing for a PG13 movie.
I enjoyed the 1st ant third Twilight books, but thought the 2nd and 4th were lame and kind of weird...but addicting nonetheless! I still managed to neglect all household responsibilities for a day while I loafed around on the sofa and read them.
I think the movie might have been better had I not been surrounded by thirteen year old girls and 45+ year old women (seriously, no inbetweens)that literally screamed EVERYtime edward was on screen. THE WHOLE MOVIE. Usually I like going to movie premieres, but I should have guessed I might be bugged by the audience this time.
I'll give it another shot with a rental and make Aaron watch it with me...so he can really mock me for all the time I spend reading the books.
You are too funny!!! I was obsessed with reading it. In fact I read all 4 books in 8 days. we were eating frozen pizzas, mac n cheese, and NOTHING was getting done!!! Too bad we don't live closer or I'd go again with you and your mom. Tell her I say HI!!!
Sounds like we're two of a kind. I had to get up this morning and reread chapter 1 in twilight just to get the feel after watching the movie which we only stood in line for 1 hour for, but it was a major tropical down pour the entire time.
Today is the annual BYU and U of U rival game and I don't feel like cheering for anything but Edward today! Gooooo Edward :)
You should write books.....you have an interesting and amusing way of putting things..love ya MOM
testing.....
I think I'm the only person alive who hasn't read the books. Robyn has talked me into it so I'll start soon. My sisters want to go to the movie over Thanksgiving. Do you think it will ruin the books if I see the movie first?
I saw Twilight twice while I was in Utah and I've been re-reading the books too. I'm addicted also, and love the romance between Bella and Edward...and I have a crush on James Pattinson...ah. But anyhow, when you're ready to see the movie again, give me a call!
Seeing as how I saw you at the midnight release of Breaking Dawn, you can guess I'm totally addicted.
I loved the movie too!
